Situated only minutes from the thriving centre of Young, in the Hilltops Region of NSW, Wonga Homestead is a peaceful, private country home. Built in 1912, the established house and gardens are an oasis amid a working cattle and sheep farm.
​
1.5 hours North-West of Canberra, Wonga Homestead is the perfect place to gather with friends and family for a relaxing weekend. The Homestead has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and comfortably accommodates groups of 12-18 people.
​
There is lots to explore in the Cherry Capital, and the surrounding towns and villages. Enjoy the local orchards, wineries, cafes, and boutique stores.
Or simply stay on the farm, relax by the pool, tennis court, open fireplaces and beautiful gardens.
While the homestead retains its turn-of-the-century charm, the new kitchen, flooring and modern bathrooms create the feeling of a luxurious, comfortable home away from home.
Accommodation
Rates
​
Rates are for 12 people. There is an additional $500 cleaning and linen fee per stay. Extra guests can be accommodated for $45 per night.
​
Midweek: $950per night, with a minimum two nights’ stay.
​
Weekends: $1200 per night, with a minimum of two nights’ stay.
​
Long weekends: $1200 per night, with a minimum of three nights’ stay.
​
NSW school holidays: Minimum five night booking starting at $5500.

New country style galley kitchen includes everything you may need to cater for a large group.

Free WiFi is available. Foxtel is also available.
Garden
Just under 3 acres of established gardens to enjoy. Collect the eggs from the chickens or find a peaceful spot to sit and enjoy a cuppa!
Linen & Towels Provided
All linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided. For stays of 5 nights or more, a mid-week linen change can be arranged.
Pool
The pool area includes a BBQ and entertaining area. The pool also features a vintage diving board!
Tennis Court

The property features a full-size sand tennis court. Tennis rackets and balls are provided.

Young comes alive from September with blossom bursting through the region. Cherry season follows through summer. Orchard visits can be arranged through out the season.

You really don't need to leave Wonga. The pool , tennis court, garden, open fire places and the surrounding farm offer inviting spaces to enjoy with family and friends.

Chinaman's Dam

Historic Chinaman's Dam is a picturesque recreation reserve with picnic facilities and scenic walks, and is the site of the Chinese Tribute Gardens.
